Differentiators

Flexible seating in alternative learning environment at Agora Prep in the Space themed room.

Non-Traditional Environment

Students pursue their interests while still being guided to complete and achieve grade-level appropriate curriculum milestones. Students are encouraged to work on their projects individually and collaboratively. We are non-traditional in every way, from our keen interest in their mental and emotional health to the overall activity-based curriculum we specifically designed for them to achieve their learning objectives without the rigidity of an over-controlling norm standardized system.
Students learn better in non-traditional environments with flexible seating

Flexible Seating

Studies show that we retain information more effectively when we are comfortable! Imagine that? Students don’t need to sit at a desk to learn in our environment. They can relax in a rocking chair, use a lap desk, put their feet up or enjoy learning in a hammock. Whatever works for them! Students absorb knowledge much faster when they are happier, more comfortable and relaxed.

Sharing inspirational messages in through art in nature

Outdoor Education

We educate students about nature and environmental sustainability. We have hydroponics and live walls to teach the value of farming and growing our own food. We teach them about the berries and the bugs, we go on outdoor adventures, and we discuss how we can be kinder to our planet. We are mindful that children need fresh air and vitamin D regularly, so they go outside a minimum of 60 minutes per day. Twice a week, Coach Steve comes and does outdoor sports with the students and there is so much laughter and fun as they absorb the sunshine and enjoy their childhood!

Technology is used to aid with Interest based learning

Interest Based

Students are permitted to pursue their interests and whatever it is that sparks their fire! We are focussed on listening and respecting our students. We believe that every child is born with a purpose and our main role in their lives is to nurture, explore and cultivate that purpose so that they can be amazing, contributing members of society and our future leaders.
21st century learners: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, and Communication

21st Century Skills

There are 4 main areas of development that we focus on with our 21st century learners: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, and Communication. There is an extremely urgent need for our children to synthesize, analyze and assimilate information in a critical and thoughtful way. This ability needs to be taught and hence, we cover critical thinking in our regular debates, book reviews and current affairs discussions. Collaboration is required for children to learn to work within a unit without losing their individuality and sense of self. Creativity is innate and needs to be celebrated, amplified, and emphasized. Finally, communication is a key skill that students require in the future to become effective entrepreneurs and leaders.
